About the Business
I have had a life-long love affair with jewellery making, taking my first class with a local jeweller when I was a teenager. Although I trained and worked as a nurse for 30 years after that first course, jewellery remained a passion of mine and I took further classes in it in my spare time. Early in 2013, I took the big decision to leave nursing and start my own jewellery business - and I haven't looked back!
Although I predominantly trained in silver work, I found it didn't fulfil my desire to make bright, statement designs. When I discovered enamelled copper wires in a multitude of lovely colours, I handcoiled them myself and combined them with ancient wire weave techniques, freshwater pearls, gemstones and contemporary beads to create the bold, colourful pieces that my creativity had craved.
My muse comes from extensive travelling, culture and nature. I particularly love the curves and colours of the natural world and often incorporate them into my work.
