About the Business
Blackbird's bricks and mortar shop based in London's fashionable SW11 was purchased at Auction as an old and unloved electrical outlet by Maggie & her family. During the auction, Television show Homes Under the Hammer featured the sale on BBC1, and documented it's transformation into the beautiful retail space it is today, created by British designer Louis Calmels of Calmels Design and Construction. Louis also happens to be Maggie's husband.
A truly family affair, Maggie's son's James & Francis manage the day to day running of Blackbird HQ, whilst Maggie & her designers make and create the Blackbird London Signature Jewellery Range. From the best selling Numerology Collection to Quirky Vintage Treasure Trove one off's, the stunning Hidden Gems range plus the luxe design of The Ace of Hearts Collection. Having everything made and designed in the UK is incredibly important to Maggie, along with cherry picking some of the finest and freshest UK designers to showcase alongside.
